Solutions for Abrasive Recovery

Speeding up recovery and cleanup.

To reduce the cost of abrasive throughout a surface preparation product, abrasive recovery is key.
It works by gathering the used abrasive, filtering and cleaning it, and then reusing the abrasive up to five times depending on what type of abrasive you are using. Typically, you can use a gravity feed system or a vacuum to collect the used abrasive.

CHAMBER & BLASTROOM RECOVERY SOLUTIONS

Recovery systems are typically built into the floor of the structure in a blasting room or chamber. The abrasive is collected by the recover system and moved to a holding area to be processed to be recycled or thrown out.

ON-SITE RECOVERY SOLUTIONS

Abrasive has to be retrieved from the structure you are blasting before painting on a blasting job site. Usually, this is done by vacuum recovery. The two popular types of vacuum recovery systems are Vacuload Systems and Grit Recycling Trailers.

VACULOAD SYSTEMS

These are made to get rid of the abrasive from the blasting area. The abrasive gets collected in a dropout hopper that is prepared to be thrown away.

GRIT RECYCLING TRAILERS

The Grit Recycling Trailers are typically used for steel grit in the water tank and bridge trade. Contractors use the trailers to continually vacuum the grit during the entire project.

CLEANING UP WHEN PROJECT IS FINISHED

Having a plan for removing the used abrasive at the end of a large blasting project is extremely important. Having recovery machines and equipment such as the Vacuload Series working alongside of another recycling or recovery solution can immensely increase productivity versus the conventional shovel and broom cleanup system.
