Abrasive Blasting Metering Valves & Parts
The heart of any blast pot is the abrasive metering valve, which acts as the carburetor to feed the blasting abrasive into the high pressure & high velocity compressed air stream. The blast abrasive, whether GMA Garnet, Steel Grit, Blasting Sand, Aluminium Oxide, Glass Bead Abrasive – is feed precisely grain by grain – to provide optimum blasting results. Too much abrasive will flood the airstream and slow down the blasting operation. Too little abrasive with starve the blasting compressed air stream, and be ineffective. Setting the abrasive metering valve accurately is imperative to high production sand blasting operations.
