Abrasive Blasting Metering Valves & Parts
The heart of any blast pot is the abrasive metering valve, which acts as the carburetor to feed the blasting abrasive into the high pressure & high velocity compressed air stream. The blast abrasive, whether GMA Garnet, Steel Grit, Blasting Sand, Aluminium Oxide, Glass Bead Abrasive – is feed precisely grain by grain – to provide optimum blasting results. Too much abrasive will flood the airstream and slow down the blasting operation. Too little abrasive with starve the blasting compressed air stream, and be ineffective. Setting the abrasive metering valve accurately is imperative to high production sand blasting operations. The industry-proven Schmidt TeraValve™ XL metering valve is revolutionary in its ability to provide high performance abrasive metering while boasting an enhanced service life.
- Durable. The XL (extended life) technology offers more durability - even when blasting with aggressive media like aluminum oxide or steel grit.
- Convenient. No special modifications are required to swap an older pressure-hold valve (like the Thompson) to a Tera. Even older pressure-release pots can be upgraded with a TeraValve Retrofit Kit, as long as there is at least 6" clearance from the bottom of the pot.
- Preferred. BlastOne provides the Tera Valve as standard equipment on all new blast equipment. In addition, we use them in our own rental fleet.
