Thickness Standards are used to verify the accuracy and operation of coating thickness gauges. As a component of ISO 9000 or in-house quality control procedures, they are a practical alternative to sending instruments to DeFelsko for calibration. These Plastic Shims (aka foils) are low-cost alternative to coated metal plates. They are available in Certified (individual shims or full sets) and in Un-Certified sets. Accuracy is somewhat less than metal plates and they are more sensitive to heat. They are intended for use over a Zero Plate, or over an uncoated substrate. A set of un-certified plastic shims is included with most electronic DeFelsko coating thickness gauges. Replacement sets and certified options are available here as follows:
- Un-Certified. These are checked for accuracy within tolerance shown below at DeFelsko, but are not traceable to any standard. They come as a set of 5 only, in the following approximate thicknesses:
- 25 microns / 1 mil (Orange), +- 20% accuracy
- 50 microns / 2 mils (Red), +- 10% accuracy
- 125 microns / 5 mils (Blue), +- 5% accuracy
- 250 microns / 10 mils (Brown), +- 5% accuracy
- 500 microns / 20 mils (Yellow), +- 5% accuracy

The PosiTector BHI - DeFelsko's solution for measuring hardness on hard plastics and soft metals, such as aluminum, copper, brass, and more.
- Familiar. The BHI probe is interchangeable and compatible with the tried-and-true PosiTector instrument platform. It is available as a package with either the Standard or the Advanced Gage/Body, or as a probe-only.
- Specialized. Compares to the 934-1 Barcol Hardness Tester.
- Capable. Numerous advantages over conventional analog instruments (as well as competitive digital instruments) including:
- Memory. Enhances convenience and reliability of reporting by saving readings for archiving or reporting.

The PosiTector® CMM IS - DeFelsko's solution for In Situ Concrete Moisture Metering conforming to ASTM F2170 testing standards. Innovative and simple to use, this PosiTector Concrete Moisture Meter offers the highest levels of testing accuracy, helping to prevent costly concrete coating failures. Selected features as follows:
- Simple Design. Individual In-Situ meters, inserted into holes drilled into concrete, connect wirelessly to the PosiTector App, or to a PosiTector Advanced Gage/DPM probe.
- Capable. The PosiTector CMMIS offers the most accurate moisture measurement in concrete as it detects moisture levels well below the floor surface.
- Configurable. With various expandable package options, the CMM IS platform can test on any size concrete floor, as follows:
- 3 probe Basic Kit, including caps, probe sleeve extensions, calibration check chambers and other accessories required for testing.
- 5 probe Complete Kit, including all the above plus a carrying case and a vacuum tool for cleaning out the drilled holes.
- 5 Probe Pro Kit, combines a PosiTector Advanced Gage/DPM probe with the above Complete Kit.
Among other requirements, ASTM F2170 requires 3 tests for the first 1000 square feet of floor area, and one additional test for each 1000 square feet. For larger floors, CMM IS Expansion Kits are available in various sizes.

The innovative and capable PosiTector Gage / Body is the backbone of a large and growing family of DeFelsko inspection equipment. When paired with 1 of the over 10 interchangeable probes, it can measure and store data for common environmental, surface, coating and more conditions. DeFelsko offers two versions of gauges (Standard and Advanced) which can be purchased individually, or in a variety of DeFelsko Body / Probe packages including 1 or more probes, depending on the application. BlastOne carries all other DeFelsko items including individual PosiTector 6000 probes, PosiTector Standard Body/Probe Kits, PosiTector Advanced Body/Probe Kits, and DeFelsko Coating Inspector Packages. NOTE: This new Gen 5 PosiTector body platform is backwards-compatible with all Positector probes manufactured since 2012.
