OVERVIEW
Nathan Brown, Manager of Southern NSW Operations at Monadelphous Group, a leading construction and maintenance company, sought a solution to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime at the Bulga Coal CHPP in the Hunter Valley.
CHALLENGE
Monadelphous faced significant challenges in their daily operations, especially in the setup and pack-down times of their equipment. Utilising a single 3.5cuft Blast Pot and ACS250 AirPrep, the team spent over three hours per day relocating the equipment across the mine site, incurring substantial costs.
SOLUTION
Upon understanding the daily challenges faced by Monadelphous during a routine customer callout, BlastOne proposed the implementation of a Mobile Blast Trailer. This solution aimed to consolidate equipment, reduce setup/pack-down times, and enhance the safety of moving equipment across the mine site.
RESULTS
The introduction of the Blast Trailer proved transformative for Monadelphous. Previously spending three hours on daily mobilisation, the new setup streamlined the process, requiring only 30 minutes each day.
All equipment is now consolidated into a single mobile unit, efficiently towed by one vehicle, resulting in significant time and cost savings for Monadelphous. The Corrosion Maintenance Crew at the mine site now experiences minimal downtime, ensuring optimal productivity and safety.
CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
