OVERVIEW
In October 2022, we were approached by Graham Industrial Coatings, a well-respected industrial painting contractor. Their task was to strip a 15 mils epoxy coating from a water tank at the Eielson Air Force Base, located in Fairbanks North Star, Alaska. With a tight timeline, the primary objective was high productivity for a fast turn-around.
SET-UP
For this endeavor, the VertiDrive M7 was the chosen tool. This high-performance abrasive blasting robot, equipped with 2 #8 Ultra nozzles and an 8-ton bulk pot, was the right match for the project. Utilizing Green Diamond slag, the VertiDrive M7 was set up to fulfill the requirements of a fast-paced project without compromising on safety.
RESULTS
The VertiDrive M7 delivered an excellent performance, achieving a productivity rate of 300 sq ft/hr. Despite the pressures of a tight timeline and the need for a swift turnaround, the quality of work was not compromised.
